No ads or tracking
The app contains no ads, analytics or third-party tracking.
Calculations stay on your device
The values and data lists you enter in the calculators are processed only on your device; they are never sent to a server and are not saved. Settings such as language, number of significant figures, rotation preference and favourite tools are stored only in the app's storage on your device and are removed when the app is uninstalled.
App updates
Calculations work without an internet connection. When the app starts and a connection is available, it checks Expo's update service (EAS Update, 650 Industries, Inc.) for new content or bug-fix updates and downloads them. The request contains the app and runtime version, the platform (Android/iOS), the update channel and an installation identifier generated randomly by the app. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address or the device's advertising identifier. Motion sensor
To show the rotate-screen button when the phone is turned sideways, the accelerometer is read momentarily on the device. Motion data are not stored and never leave the device.
Permissions
The Android version uses only the internet permission, to download updates. The app requests no permissions such as camera, location, contacts, microphone or files.
External links
The website, licence and privacy-policy links in Settings open in your browser only when you tap them; those sites' own policies apply there.
Children
The app is intended for undergraduate students and laboratory staff. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
